Sunday evening Jon Rose turned the 2.4 metre ball loose in the Princes Wharf plaza. The inflated ball contains electronic sensors — principally I think an accelerometer and a radio transmitter. The sensor signals are received by Jon’s Macbook Pro, serving as input to audio synthesizer software.
So the audience get’s musical feedback to every movement of the ball, which was bounced mostly overhead for at least 30 minutes. We have just uploaded an edited short video of the fun.
