On our way to France, we stopped in Lucerne for two days. Friends in Hobart had recommended we take the trips up Mountains Rigi and Pilatus, but we had not planned enough time for these, and spent our time out on Lake Lucerne aboard a ferry instead. The ferry docked at one small village after another, taking on and disembarking passengers. The weather was stunning, and we, of course, enjoyed watching the sailboats with the Swiss Alps decorating the horizon. We will have to plan a return trip to go up the mountains one day.
