Tribune Bay and Porlier Pass

Sept. 15: In Tribune Bay at Hornby Island, a bay we had been wanting to visit, a nearly full moon rose from behind the edge of the island, and we captured the figures on the face of the moon in our cameras.

Just after a rose dawn, with the full moon setting, we departed Tribune Bay and made it through Porlier Pass, and into the Gulf Islands, about an hour before slack tide. There were some fun ripples and whirlpools in the pass.

Once we were inside the Gulf Islands, the going was very smooth to Montague Harbour on Galiano Island.
